The process of recovery and change is rarely linear. Oftentimes it is messy, looping back upon itself, taking unexpected turns, or stalling out. How can you “trust the process” if the process is unclear?
I am here to help identify and uproot hurdles and roadblocks that are keeping you from moving forward in healing. I work from a warm, relational, client-centered approach and believe that therapy should be shaped to each unique individual. I work collaboratively with my clients to identify goals and create meaningful treatment plans. This leaves room for flexibility and creativity as we work together to build skills, understanding, and resiliency.
My experience working with survivors of developmental and family trauma, domestic/intimate partner violence, systemic trauma, and human trafficking has given me a greater understanding of how trauma affects individuals, families, and communities. My goal is to create a soft therapeutic landing space for those looking to explore and process past trauma and understand how it affects current thought and behavior patterns.
Much of my approach centers on creating a supportive, affirming environment for all clients and acknowledging the inherent difficulties of moving through the world with intersectional identities. It has been a privilege to walk with others in the LGBTQIA+ community on their journeys of gender, identity, and sexuality exploration. I work from a sex positive standpoint, and have experience supporting clients in ethically non-monogamous, poly, and open relationships.
I will meet you wherever you are on your journey. Let’s start there.
